In hindsight maybe Chell shouldn't have been reckless enough to let herself be doused in the conversion gel while trying to escape Old Aperture. She had heard Cave Johnson's coughing, and heard him say how toxic it was.
She just didn't think it'd start affecting her as fast as it did, and nearly being blown up by Wheatley certainly did not help.
Now she's stuck dying with one AI who has a superiority complex and another who's a megalomaniac.
Honestly? She kinda wishes these two assholes would just kill her and be done with it.-

That's what they always think before something new comes up.
When GLaDOS wakes up in a tube in a human body that hasnt been used in decades with the only clue being a name she can blame it all on, what seems like a major inconvenience at first entirely changes the way she sees her existence. The only constant through everything is a particular test subject, and GLaDOS finds out there's quite a lot more to being human than exchanging oxygen for carbon dioxide.

Summary

Ending up on different ends of the facility, the two must make their way through old Aperture, reunite, and find a way to the present, all the while dodging familiar faces. When things don't exactly go according to plan, Chell learns how deep GLaDOS's self loathing runs as she confronts her past self.
GLaDOS stared back at Caroline, the two completely fixated on each other in a way that made the two of them both uncomfortable and intrigued. GLaDOS didn’t have to ask how Caroline felt right now. She knew.
