Summary
“I want you,” Merlin said, “to continue thinking of me as your friend.”
“Are there things that would make me change my mind about that?”
“I don’t know. I hope not.”
“Alright,” Arthur said. “Why don’t you start with the worst thing.”Merlin remains determined to convince Arthur—by any means necessary—that his magic can be a force for good. Amidst their friendship undergoing rapid change, Arthur struggles to balance leadership, trust, and personal loyalty. When Mithian arrives seeking their help, Merlin and Arthur embark on a quest to confront difficult pasts, choices, and truths.

Summary
Merlin has spent the better part of 3 years wearing the same two shirts...So when he starts walking around in a purple shirt, it's no wonder Arthur is suspicious. Unfortunately, he gets a bit carried away, and convinces the knights Merlin has a demon possessing him, much to Merlin's annoyance. Utter silliness and ridiculousness!

Summary

Summary
Merlin comes back as a zombie. Arthur won't stop looking at him wrong. Merlin comes back, and Arthur is a stranger.
It hadn't been ten years for Merlin: he still remembered that Arthur was supposed to tease him, was supposed to rib him, was supposed to punch Merlin's shoulder and rub his knuckles in Merlin hair as he shoved Merlin into a headlock. He still remembered that Arthur was supposed to goad him in to danger, out of his comfort zone, away from the little cottage Merlin called home. He still remembered Arthur, laughing, and Arthur, shoving hot-dogs down his throat for some idiotic challenge, and Arthur, five, eight, eleven, thirteen, fifteen, Arthur, with his hair dirtied and tousled and uncharacteristically afraid.
Fifteen-year-old Arthur, of all things, was the one that stayed. Merlin desperately wished eight-year-old Arthur had stayed instead, pushing him across the breaking ice with gleeful laughter, the adrenaline running through Arthur's veins slipping into Merlin's where their hands connected.

Summary
If Arthur had known his lawyer was going to be this handsome, he would’ve filed for divorce a lot sooner. Unfortunately for Arthur, Merlin has committed himself to a life of singledom, crankiness, and morals. Slowly, Arthur’s charming qualities heal something inside Merlin that he didn’t break.
Part I: Arthur's POV
Part II: Merlin's POVExcerpt (paraphrased):
“Are you gay?” Arthur asked his lawyer.
"Excuse me?"
“Are you part of the LGBTQA+ community?” Arthur asked, rephrasing.
“That’s irrelevant to this case.”
Arthur leaned towards the desk slightly. “But relevant to my interests.”

Summary
“What kind of servant leaves urgent matters just to pee?”
A pack of hungry grown men could be considered “urgent matters” were they less respectable people, but these were brave and noble men who swore to hold themselves with nothing less than the honour placed on them as a Knight of Camelot. They could wait 2 minutes for him to empty his bladder.
Unfortunately, their absolute ass of a captain seemed to disagree.
“… A human one?”
“Gwaine can gather firewood. You are going to start dinner as soon as possible. Leon, keep an eye on my oaf of manservant before he cuts his finger and seasons our food with his blood.”
or
Arthur makes Merlin cook for him and his most trusted knights before letting him pee. That's pretty much it.

Summary
Merlin hated his neighbor.
It wasn't an epic hatred, like the one between dark wizards and the chosen ones chosen by a Prophecy (Merlin loved Harry Potter and wouldn't apologize, sorry); it was a more... practical hatred. The kind that arose when the neighbor started the washing machine at two in the morning. Or parked in his neighbor’s driveway. Or worse yet, jogged at six in the morning in front of your door just because he was the devil's most loyal and tried to damn people to Hell by stimulating their murderous instincts.

Summary
The funeral was a solemn event. Everyone quiet and watching the flames lick at a red cape and a gilded sword, enwrapping all that was left from Lancelot in bright light and heated warmth.
And well, Merlin hated it.
i.e. Author is dealing with some stuff through the use of fictional characters and is taking you all along for the awful clown car of a ride.

Summary
They sit there quietly for a few minutes, clock ticking away as Arthur drinks his coffee and Merlin lets the steam of his own waft up his nostrils. Something about the simple potential, the easy domesticity, sets Merlin off.
Before he can stop it, he sets his coffee down, puts his head in his hands.
“Merlin, what—” Arthur starts, distress evident from the way he sets his cup down as well and reaches forward as though more touch could help this.
“Why do you keep doing this to me, Arthur?” Merlin asks, breath huffy and voice all cloggy-sounding. He’s embarrassed, he realizes, that he’s let this go on in the foolish hope that Arthur will wake up and realize that he does love Merlin, not Gwen.
He feels Arthur still, because his arms are splayed out in front of himself on the table as though he were trying to reach for Merlin.
Merlin gets no answer to his question, though.
“Leave, please, Arthur,” Merlin says roughly; he has to force himself not to call him back when he hears Arthur take a breath in sharply, before standing, gathering his few things, and leaving the apartment.

Summary
“Merlin, I'm the greatest swordsman in the five kingdoms.” Arthur boasted. “I’ve fought more battles than I can count.”
”I’m aware, sire.”
”And I’ve always survived.”
”Not always.” Merlin muttered.
---
The day Arthur dies is the day Merlin refuses to let end. Again. And again. And again. Merlin’s stuck in a spiral—a dizzying, cruel dance of death and reset. With each attempt, his heart grows heavier, his magic darker, until all he can do is break.
And when the shards of his despair drag Arthur into the storm, the past and present shatter, leaving nothing but raw truth and fragile hope.
Now there's no more running. Just the two of them, the end of the world, and everything left unsaid.

Summary
Arthur’s voice dropped, more serious. “It’s not like you to hate anyone, Merlin. But you look at Mordred like he’s your enemy.”
Merlin went quiet.
"Merlin?"
“Maybe he is,” he whispered so quietly the words barely made it past his lips.
“What?” Arthur asked in disbelief.
....
Arthur trusts Mordred. Merlin knows better.

Summary
Merlin was seriously out of it. Perhaps if he wasn't injured or he had managed to get an hour more of sleep, he wouldn't be in the situation he was now, because when Arthur demanded Merlin light a fire to deal with the awful cold of winter, he didn't even hesitate to turn to the fireplace and light one... with magic. When he turned round to see Arthur facing him (wasn't he behind the changing screen), it suddenly dawned on Merlin what he had just done.
A sleep deprived Merlin accidentally reveals his magic to Arthur and the king just laughs. What happens next results in an angry Merlin.
A magic reveal where Arthur already knew but didn't tell Merlin and when Merlin realises he knew for years gets rightfully pissed. -

Summary
“Arthur.”
Merlin is stumbling, barefoot, ungainly, down to the water’s edge before he has even made sense of what he’s seeing. He stands there, too hopeful to breathe, and watches the spot where the water tangles.
A hand. A head. Shoulders, a cape of water, and Merlin is running, crashing through the water, to the figure climbing out of the lake.
They meet where the water is waist-deep, and there they stop, several feet apart.
But it isn’t Arthur.
It’s Merlin.
Or, a grieving warlock tries to bring back his king.

After a large argument with Arthur, Merlin shuts off. He no longer will argue with Arthur.
