Realistically, she shouldn't have gone back home after everything that happened between Westover Hall and returning to Camp Half-Blood after the impromptu party on Olympus. But, Annabeth had been feeling numb from the rollercoaster of emotions she'd been on for the past week, and she'd felt guilty about avoiding going back to California when her dad had helped them deal with Atlas. So, she went back. And it was possibly one of the worst decisions she'd made.

But, it doesn't take too long until some hot, new Bombshells start to shake up the Villa. While the goal of the summer for the Islanders is to find true love, it's never an easy task, as drama and heartbreak are always lurking around the corner.

After everything the crew has been through, crashing an Avengers work dinner might have been the strangest experience so far. Hard to say when two of them have literally died and come back though.

For his and Annabeth's one-month anniversary, Percy makes a deal with Hermes: he and Annabeth will get Hermes' staff back, but Hermes has to help him give Annabeth a romantic dinner in Paris.
By the time they actually get the job done, though, Annabeth's impending rut is even closer than it was, and Hermes takes notice. Unprompted, Hermes decides they'd enjoy a different reward even more, and sends them to an impossibly-expensive Manhattan hotel.
Now Percy and Annabeth have to decide what, if anything, they want to do with it.

Annabeth’s eyes were solely on Penelope. She was unblinking as a statue. “You never told me you liked other women.” She didn’t sound angry but she did sound upset.
Penelope raised an eyebrow. “I don’t really talk about it.”
It was easier to talk about demi-god stuff to her Mom than it was to talk about her views on romance. Men were handsome and, sometimes, even pretty. Women were beautiful and, sometimes, pretty. A person being really attractive didn’t mean Penelope inherently wanted to date someone though.
“I thought you liked men.” A few seconds passed, “Luke was-“
Penelope interrupted her. “Luke knew I was angry and he never tried to make me something less.”
Annabeth scowled, her expression darkening. “Luke would have set you on fire just to keep himself warm.”
The words were cutting. It always shocked Penelope how Annabeth could be so stupidly loyal to Luke - despite all the things he had done to her - and, at other times, be so unforgiving toward him.
“He would have let you walked off an edge instead of holding you back when-“
Penelope interrupted her. “Luke was handsome and he was angry when I was angry and he was there when I had lost my mom.”
