This isn't some over-romanticized thing. The love interest is obsessive but messy, the drama is very church centric, the politics of it are stressful, and his head is a constantly skipping vinyl. The goal: make everything feel real. No, it's not a romance novel style put him on a pedestal type thing. He's just a guy that's thrown into this life. He does not win everything. Neither does she. But! Two stubborn people usually do conquer a hell of a lot of hurdles.

He flinches, his body locking up on him as he looks wide-eyed at Haze. She jumps at the sight of him, and then she grimaces, turning away from him with a soft whine. He’s about to say something like, I’m almost done (though he probably isn’t), when she grips the door frame with a hiss of breath. Her legs are squeezed together, and she bends forward a bit, bouncing on her feet. Oh. Oh, that wasn’t a lustful mewl he heard.
UPDATE 21 October: now that this is finished, I can give it a summary that doesn't suck. This is a story about Perpetua and Haze coming to terms with a few newly developed kinks (read the tags), and how their relationship progresses with each other, and with Cirrus, as they figure it out. The other ghouls make appearances as well, though not as often. Everyone learns something about themselves, and there's a bit of emotional turmoil, but in the end everyone comes to a place of understanding and acceptance.

He's also curious about him, but refuses to approach Perpetua - he decides to assign you work closely with Papa and learn about the new guy. You very much like your position as Frater's Secretary, although it would be nice to get away from the former Papa and his little tantrums. Agreeing to take the job, you find your new boss is a very unsettling man - he doesn't talk, it's hard to find him at times, he moves a little too strange for a normal person and for some reason, he can't stop staring at you. Committed to the job, you do your best to assist and help, even when you learn about Perpetua's dark secret that threatens your life.
Your simple life in the Ministry has now turned a new and thrilling turn.

Dewdrop tears through the hallway like a homing missile. Tunnel vision. He can barely make out his pack mates around him, running just as furiously out of their den, not bothering with avoiding the siblings of sin roaming the grounds of the ministry.
He knew coming back to the ministry right before another tour was too good to be true. He thought he’d get time to relax, to be with his pack and enjoy how stable everything was.
But then Sunny had left with a tearful goodbye and Aurora had been summoned in her place.
But then Copia had busted through the doors of their den this morning. Calling for Aether.

A self-indulgent fic where a newly summoned Phantom is a triple A threat (anxious, aromantic and asexual, although he doesn`t figure out the last two for a while) and Sodo is a dick to him, and Rain takes him under his proverbial wing.
In a world of mostly smut (which isn`t a bad thing, but it`s not for everyone), sometimes a bit of deep somewhat complicated platonic relationships is a nice change of pace.

His short hair is a little ruffled from being towel dried, and there’s a scattering of freckles on his cheeks she’d never noticed before. He wraps an arm around Cumulus and props his long legs on the table and it hits her all at once: Mountain is handsome.
Aurora and Mountain had a bit of a rough start. They take it slow until they don't.

“That’s not true!” Mountain said as he threw his last drumstick and followed Dew.
“Then how do you explain that?” Dew said as he pointed at Phantom, who was sitting on the edge of the stage, waving at the crowd. “Looks like everyone loves him.” Mountain placed a hand on Dew’s shoulder.
“There are still plenty of fans who love you!” Mountain said as he pointed to his side of the stage. Many fans by Dew’s side were waving at him and screaming his name. He waved back and looked at Mountain.
“It isn’t the same… they’re probably doing it because they feel bad for me,” Dew said as he glanced back at Phantom. Smoke puffed out of his nose. “This is all his fault.”
