Summary
Gadget was a relatively normal guy until all hell broke loose over Mobius, forcing him to take up arms in the war against Eggman and win back their planet. But, right out the gate, weird things begin to happen, and it comes to his attention that for some reason, an otherworldly force has selected him to fight on the frontlines with the likes of Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends, more or less against his will.
And so begins his adventures in the war to save the world, making friends and foes alike and learning to work with this new found power. Fortunately, he’s not alone in this fight, nor in his distressing new abilities, and they may just be able to win back their freedom if they work together.

Sonic is hunted by the six months he spend at Eggmans mercy, Gadget is struggling to adjust to life as a celebrity while keeping his new relations hidden. So of cause Knuckles wants to make sure everyone's alright, and of cause Amy gets a friends of hers to act as a therapist for the forces.

This is the story of the War to Take Back the Planet, told from the perspective of Gadget the Wolf. By the hands of fate itself, he found himself caught in the midst of the initial attack, separated from those close to him through the chaos and almost unable to ever get a moment's solace. With what seemed to be the death of the planet's hero, Sonic, and a new and unknown threat being responsible for it, the fate of the world seemed all but certain. However, hope still remained, as a Resistance had quickly formed, despite the impossible odds that were now stacked against them... and Gadget would quickly find himself amongst their ranks.
With certain doom looming over their heads and a new threat lurking in the shadows, the chances of them winning this sudden war seemed slim... but not impossible. What would become of Gadget and this ragtag Resistance in the wake of Sonic's death? Would they find some way to gain fighting strength and morale, or would they be snuffed out immediately by the overwhelming power of the Eggman Empire?
