    After a particularly bad storm, Sonic finds himself separated from his crew, stranded at sea, then saved by a crew of pirates looking for the chaos emeralds. Forced to comply and work with the colorful cast of outlaws, Sonic finds himself growing closer and closer to them, especially the prickly captain named Shadow. What will happen if Sonic is forced to choose between his own crew, or this new crew.

Sonic automatically shoots down the idea of imprisonment, so a different idea is put forward: rehabilitation and integration back into society. Against their better judgement and to the chagrin of Barry, their existing roommate, Gadget takes on the job. Wacky hijinks ensue as Gadget tries to navigate the struggles of rehabilitating a former war criminal, such getting crushed by mountains of paperwork and getting into fights with said former war criminal.
    And on top of it all, they’re slowly catching feelings for this disaster of a man.
    Somebody save them.
