Summary
It was a nice day.
The sun was just beginning to rise above the horizon, the gentle chirps of birds birds gently singing in the new day.
There was a slight breeze rustling the autumn leaves, promising a colder temperature as the day continued.
In the eyes of many, this was as perfect an autumn morning could get.But in the eyes of twelve year old Yang Xiao Long, it was just another false promise.
The day looked perfect- but she knew it would be far from it.Sighing, the pre-teen stared at the calendar on her wall.
The 31st of October.
It was Ruby's birthday. -

Summary
Qrow Branwen groaned as his alarm blared painfully beside him.
It was five in the morning, and he had promised to not only take Ruby and Yang to school, but also cover Tai's classes.
Qrow really hated that he'd agreed to it- but, he couldn't back out now.
And he needed the money. So, with a heavy sigh, the man dragged himself off of his bed, lazily threw on some clothes, and made his way to the kitchen, making himself a bitter cup of coffee.
He downed it quickly, before grabbing his bag, his keys, and his phone- before jumping into his car and slowly making the short drive to his brother-in-law's house. -

One day, while experimenting on some upgrade creations, she had a little accident and in a puff of smoke, her whole body had changed once the smoke cleared. Ruby was no longer herself anymore and who walks in but Weiss to discover her during this predicament, having come to check up on her because she had heard a noise that sounded like a thunderous clap coming from Ruby’s little workshop area where she experimented. Weiss was not, by any means, prepared to deal with the aftermath of Ruby’s experimental creations gone wrong.

Summary
Following Neo’s torture, Ruby returns from her ascension as her 15 year old self. No memories of Beacon, Cinder, Penny or Team RWBY.
Should her friends remind her of what lead her down this traumatic path and of the friends she’s lost? Or should they leave Ruby to be a happy, carefree girl she was before the world rested on her shoulders.
(Depressing Volume 9 rewrite because I thought Ruby’s mental health could have been handled better if they had more time.)

Paradise wasn’t a place. It was people. Her wife, and her little darling girls.
“MOM!”/Mommy!”
“You didn’t tell them?” Summer looked to her wife, making breakfast even as she hugged her girls tightly.
“I didn’t want to spoil the surprise,” Raven replied. “Thought that would be rude of me.”
“Yes, girls, mommy’s home,” Summer said, kneeling down to Yang’s level and running a hand through her hair. “Yang, your hair is a mess, did you brush it at all this morning?”
Ruby toddled towards her mom, swiftly picked up in one arm and held close.
“Sorry mom, I got distracted by the smell of pancakes! I’ll go back and brush it!”
