Chuuya stumbled upon a unique opportunity: a luxurious Tokyo apartment with a peculiar payment scheme. He only had to pay half the monthly rent, his sole obligation being to share the space with the owner.
The owner, Dazai Osamu, was a man who lived in a world of old money and effortless luxury, a world Chuuya could never quite comprehend. Even his cat—Bae Suzy—had a more elegant name than he did, a fact that never failed to amuse and slightly irritate him.
But one clause in particular caught his attention: a clause explicitly forbidding romantic involvement.
"Are you serious about this?" Chuuya jabbed a trembling finger at the contract, his voice rising in disbelief. "A no falling in love clause? Are you writing some cheesy soap opera?"
"Hey, I know you're gay," Dazai accused.
"What? How do you know I'm gay? Is there a sign on my forehead in neon green highlighter that says I'm gay?" he scoffed.
Dazai sighed, irritation flickering across his face. "I can see it in your face. And gay men are known to have good taste. Technically, I should qualify."

"I don't dilly-dally when I know what I want," Mithrun said.
"Dilly-dally," Kabru echoed the words with a helpless, fond grin. The way Mithrun spoke was quickly becoming deeply endearing to him. It reminded him of how people talked in movies that took place in the past where everyone was called "my lord."
"Pussy-foot?" Mithrun offered in replacement, arching a brow at Kabru quizzically, and Kabru giggled, quickly covering his mouth with one hand at the not-very-macho sound that had just escaped him.
"...I don't like to waste time," Mithrun said with a huff, rolling his eyes as he unbuttoned his cloak, and dramatically shrugged it off, letting it flutter away to the floor. His hat was already gone, but Kabru wasn't sure when and where it had come off the elf's head.
"No, no, I like the way you talk. I liked dilly-dally," Kabru insisted from between his fingers, his face hurting from how hard he was smiling. "Pussy-foot is good too. It's... old-fashioned. Cute."
