Fated, to die a terrible death on a regular basis, over and over again. It was easy to lose hope in this place, and harder to regain it. Keep hoping towards the dream of freedom, because admitting to the alternative is worse.
But there's a bus pulling into the station.
And freedom might be closer than they'd think. Or it might be continuously out of reach. There is no way to find out.
Surely it's still worth trying, though.
