Summary
This is a story of a girl, who had a lot of problems. She falls into another world and has to answer a lot of questions. How did she get here? How will she get back? Who does she want to be? She has the help of a black and red hedgehog, so long as she doesn't annoy him too much anyway. And in the meantime? This world seems to have a lot of problems of its own.
Or, two very different characters with red and black color schemes, trauma, and super speed and the shenanigans that ensue.

As he attempts to kick off his novel writing, he is plagued with memories he stopped thinking about as soon as he left. Whether it means anything or not, Shadow is going to get his life settled in this new place; getting to meet new and forgotten faces.

Shadow repositioned Sonic’s shoulders, “Posture, Wentworth. How will you play anything if you can’t even sit by the piano?"
He kept his hand hovering over Sonic’s back, touching it every now and then. With the other, he followed Sonic’s hand as they pressed on the keys, gently lifting them to shape a claw, “Pretend your hands are spiders, they effortlessly jump to every note, weaving a song, while never losing its composure.”
Shadow fixed his chin, and his arms, hands again, while never fully letting go of his back. Remain focused, Sonic thought, play the notes, keep proper posture.
But Shadow’s hands were soft.

After the events of the eclipse cannon, Shadow is captured by G.U.N and once again is used for experimentations. Sonic is left alone to mourn Shadow’s absents, unable to explain his feeling to anyone and suffers over time.
At the same time, a power surge emitted from a secret lab created Gerald Robotnik which held none other than his own granddaughter who had been transformed with no recollection of her past life, now used as a weapon to terminate Sonic the hedgehog and later, Shadow too. -

After sonic broke the prism and had to find a way to bring his dimension, his home back from the dead. Meeting the different versions of his friends bothered him because all he wanted to do was help them. Shadow was the one that forced him to focus on the fact they had to get the prism back to fix their home. Throughout however long they were stuck in there shadow was the one thing that stayed constant that kept sonic grounded especially after having to face nine. Shadow made a realization that he saw sonic more than just a rival as much as he kept lying to himself and tell himself and everyone that he didn't care about sonic. When sonic was dying in his arms shadow was forced to face the fact the he was terrified of sonic dying that his darkarm instincts that he tried so hard to ignore and keep locked away was screaming at him to help his mate. After shadow successfully saved shadow and got them to the rift that brought them back to where they where before the break both of their first instincts was to find each other.
