Summary
A reinterpretation of the Video Game OMORI, giving it a mystery and more real life horror elements.
This reinterpretation shows a bit more difference in how the story goes from the game, as we are introduced to new characters, new dynamics, expansions on minor characters, and a new mystery element.
Sunny is emotionally crippled after the accidental death of her sister, which is framed as a murder and caused two people’s lives to be ruined. As Sunny and the others deals with the trauma through childhood memories and unhealthy coping habits, a new threat comes to town seeking revenge, all while the greater mystery of what truly was the cause of that fateful day starts cracking around the town of Faraway.
It is up to Sunny and his friends to protect themselves against this revenge seeker and to find out what happened that made their lives hell.

Summary
You know the story already; MARI tragically dies as a result of a complete accident, BASIL and SUNNY hide what happened, SUNNY is traumatized and uses dreams to cope, BASIL is estranged from everyone, HERO is in shambles for a year, AUBREY is left to pick up the pieces and KEL tries his hardest to make peace with all of it. Needless to say, the friend group falling apart was an inevitable consequence of her death.
But...the friend group getting back together? What if that was the will of the supernatural, the result of MARI being unable to pass on and left to oversee her friends?
But if she had been right there with the friend group the whole time, why is she just out of reach and unable to interact with them? Could the only way she can is if her spirit is, somehow, made whole again?
A new interpretation: if there truly is life after death, then how do the Faraway kids fair? Maybe MARI is right there with them, or maybe it's just a coping mechanism. Regardless, it's up to all them to put their differences and issues aside to come together as friends once more.
For MARI's soul's sake, and for their own.

A variation of Omori, where after a battle with Basil, Sunny is immediately thrown into white space, won't meet Mari and friends in his sleep, forgiveness and won't practice violin part of duet, Omori knows about the restarts, and lets Sunny go after pretend defeated by a critical attack on the pre last wave, knowing that guilt will break Sunny after confessing.
