Summary
After having sent his younger self back in time, Jak and Daxter begin living life like they always had; one adventure at a time. Now that his father has found him Damas refuses to let Jak out of his sight very long, which turns into disadvantage when Jak and company go missing. Meanwhile in the past young Jak begins a new life with some problems of his own; but with a promise of a bright future to come both boys begin another adventure.

With Cyber Errol's defeat and the destruction of the Dark Maker Ship, peace has finally returned to Haven City and the Wasteland city of Spargus. The Metal Heads - yet again devoid of a leader - are easily routed and destroyed, with any survivors retreating far from civilization. The KG Death Bots, too, have been shut down or repurposed for use in the Freedom League. Rebuilding has begun, and it seems that Jak and Daxter may finally get to breathe easy for the first time since leaving Sandover Village...

Jak accidentally sleeps at the hideout, something he had carefully avoided for a long time. Torn accidentally witnesses one of Jak's PTSD nightmares, something he wishes he could erase from his memory. But he can't, and he doesn't want to be like one of the adults that had let him drown in his own sorrow when he was younger. He tries to be of some help to Jak despite the fact that he has less capacity for expressing emotions than one of the metal head trophies in Krew's bar. Jak decides to let him. Set in Jak II & 3.

Jak rubs a hand over his eyes and groans. "Fuck. Fine. You win, I guess." His hand drops to his thigh with an audible slap.
"Damn right, I always win, baby," Daxter says, "now, what happened, you say some shit and he punch ya?"
"No." Jak won't meet Daxter's eyes. His voice is quiet as he says, "...I, uh… I kissed him."

In the week after Jak and Daxter get together, the truth comes out regarding Jak's fractured relationship with Torn. Daxter takes it upon himself to fix it, with Tess's help.
Torn's attempt to patch things up goes wrong as his self-medication with alcohol takes a turn for the worse. The Shadow orders him to detox, and he also goes to Tess for help.
A weekend of withdrawal and shenanigans ensues.
