Everyone knows the Bear. He lives on the west side of the Wood under the name of Mr. Sanders. His head is empty and his tummy is never full. Everybody loves him, because he's silly and friendly and always willing to help out. Nobody invites him over for lunch if they can avoid it, because he'd eat them out of house and home. He's as much a part of the Wood as the trees are.
Most animals don't know that he's older than the very world we live in. That he's forgotten more about trees than any of them will ever know. That he's the greatest baseball player our universe has ever seen. Most don't notice the Certificate of Knighthood that has hung on his wall for so long that he's forgotten what it is, just as he has forgotten the rest of his history.
What is the Bear? Many things. He is a warrior, a peacekeeper, and a poet. He is a sailor, a doctor, and an explorer. He is one of the stupidest creatures I have ever met, and he is also a being of nearly infinite wisdom. He is a monster, and he is also my greatest friend.
What is his name? Ah, now that is a lot more complicated.

He had felt desperate and lonely, through those endless, innumerable days, none of which could be longer or duller than a bare notch carved in a wall, when he marked the time that passed between his father's rushed departures and his encreasingly rare and brief returns.
Had he grown up under the sun- within the sun-, sinking into seas of sand, living on charity and digging scrap like a diver, but with Rey at his side, things could have been different.

В галактике очередная война, Джасен Соло пошел на Тёмную Сторону, убил Мару Джейд и собрался стать очередным Императором всея вселенной. Люк Скайуокер и его сын оплакивают потерю половины семьи, а Кип Даррон... а Кип Даррон пытается устроить личную жизнь и заодно хоть немножко спасти Альянс.

These are my Life Finds a Way one shots. I don't know how many there will end up being, and the order will be random. These will be taking place across both the Life Finds a Way and Vagaries of Fate timelines in no particular order. Once I decide I am done I might rearrange them chronologically, but for now they will be posted as I come up with them. I know these are all either fluff or character monologues, which is why they weren't in the story. I was moved to go ahead and write them though.
