It’s almost like she’s never seen a ghoul before. “My swimmers are just as likely to kill anything that’s up there as one of your— emergency pills.”
“Oh,” she says, and that’s that.
“Told you you wouldn’t like it,” he says, turning back to looting.

A month out of the ground, the Ghoul stumbles on a girl being assaulted by half a dozen raiders. After a quick, bloody rescue, things take a different turn in more ways than one.
