He learned to see Pac in the rising sun he was always so eager to greet, in the red roses he carried with him and in the Portuguese words that never left his vocabulary.
He learned to see his family in the everlasting memories that filled his heart and that would never cease to exist.
He was a changed man who no longer survived out of spite, but out of love.

Summary
The eggs (which are human dragon hybrids) have been rescued from an experimental lab ran by the federation. They used to be human before, but many are too young to remember life before their sharp teeth, claws, wings, and scales. The children come to find out many of the adults who had rescued them came from places very similar, and for once in their lives, the adults around them actually seem to want to help.
OR
Fit tries his best to help the local police station find homes for the load of children they rescued, and along the way he finds two specific boys wiggle their way into his heart, along with a handsome man in a blue hoodie.

Summary
For Fit, this relationship had melted his ice-cold heart slowly and filled it impossibly deep with love. For Pac, it gave him someone who would unquestioningly defend him even from his own destructive thoughts. They exposed their jagged edges of their souls where life had broken them and found only fierce healing of the bruises and breaks.
It was imperfectly perfect, and it was entirely them.

Fit blinks. Blinks again. He lets the laughter rise out of his chest, one hand resting over his heart as he chuckles. Then, after a long beat, he realizes Pac is not laughing. In fact, neither is Mike.
“You’re serious.” He says, more of a question than a statement, but fueled by the same uncertainty.
OR; Fit has the ability to survive anything. And in a world where Superheroes are coveted for their abilities, that can make him a lot of money. Money, that in turn, can help out the people who took him in at his lowest. The problem is; Everything comes at a price and not every price is monetary.

“You need to go to Bad’s right now.” Pac said, hoping that the seriousness in his voice was obvious. The kids face paled, almost figuring out why Pac would say that. Pac checked his communicator briefly, seeing that Bad was actually online before looking at Ramón again. “Ramón, you need to.”

However, his mother was Human, he failed his Kahs-wan and lost his arm, and he struggled to control his anger and fear. Starfleet was a way to prove himself, and he did, becoming the youngest Captain in Starfleet's history.
