Summary
Dr. Riley Ruckus begrudgingly fulfills a dying man’s wishes by giving his, now orphaned, daughter a hideous puppet he made for her. The girl is happy with that thing, so there is no reason to worry, until Dr. Riley finds herself around unwanted surprises. There is nothing wrong with that girl and her puppet, right?
Note: Mortimer/Riley is just for a past relationship. No romance in this fic, but there will be references to the couple.

The retro-styled quintet sang, sounding like they were plucked right from the fifties, audio tinniness and all.
"Think it's a ghost?" Mabel suggested.
"The puppet?" Dipper shrugged. "Could be. Puppeteer, freak accident, ghost takes the puppet, but why would her unfinished business be hosting a talk show?"

(Both a prologue and a sequel to Effigy to Burn)
A.J.- who gets along better with puppets, dolls and robots than people- reminisces on her time working for Fazbear Entertainment as a handywoman who knew better than to tell anyone about what happened there at night. It was under the glare of the bear that A.J. perfected many skills, including, (but not limited to), how to repair and optic scanner while turning a blind eye, how to define an edge while blurring a line and how to remain at her post while running for her life.
The Pizzaplex was supposed to be a chance to cut the puppeteer's strings but, as A.J. soon realises, it slowly began to hollow her out.
Though, unlike so many others, at least she got out of that place alive and, (mostly), intact- she would often tell herself.
Still, she cried tears of mourning for the mechanical rabbit long before she ever wondered what became of the children whose faces she'd seen in the back-corridors in the evening and on the side of milk cartons the next morning.
It was around that time that A.J. had first begun to suspect that she wasn't a very good person.Series

Summary
There are certain experiences that can bring together those from radically different backgrounds, the sort that shatter all assumptions of reality and force one to reconsider what they know. Michael wishes to simply leave the past, but his future may just be even more terrifying. But it doesn't need to be.
In a new body with a old purpose, Michael is lead by a voice and forming all new connections, from a lonely teenager to a remorseful Mii, from children haunted by demons they cannot grasp to errant AI, from an out of place puppet to an out of place detective. Forces even greater than Afton are at work, and powers growing within him and others. There is a plan in place, and Michael needs to find a way to protect not only himself, but his new family as it churns forward.
It is either that or annihilation.
