For Ikaris, the truth comes out exactly a century after the night he flies away from their flat in Covent Gardens and two weeks after Sersi’s holiday party.

Maybe after hiding for millennia, the Fae wanted to return to the light. They wanted to adapt, live amongst humans, and integrate into modern society.
...or AKA: Hope accidentally gets paralyzed by some weird assassin chick, which somehow leads to the better living qualities of the Fae. She pushes him, so he lies flat on his back, and straddles his waist. This confidence is new. In the past, he usually led, guiding her along, telling her where to touch him and how to touch him, and he listened to the sounds she made to figure out what she wanted. He knew the place at the corner of her hip that made her tremble, and the spot behind her ear that always drove her crazy.
But it seems in the last hundreds of years, Sersi has figured out what makes her feel good and all Ikaris can do is lay back, awestruck.
