    Aziraphale is caught, sans flaming sword, during the Great Heavenly Audit that precedes the Great Flood, and is locked away with the Watchers and a few other angels who have very clearly disobeyed, but also have yet to Fall. From there a small series of dominoes begin to fall, which becomes a cascade around the time King Solomon is building the First Temple.

    Heaven looks down upon the demons enslaved and thinks "this is a good idea", while Hell, being comprised of demons currently being enslaved, thinks "this actually really sucks". From there things wildly diverge. Crawly becomes Crowley in a Hell that feels indebted to him for their rescue, and also finds to concept of slavery utterly horrifying. Aziraphale, meanwhile, is forced to labor in a Heaven that views him as an increasingly disposable object. It's only when Armageddon is less than five hundred years away that they meet again, after an impatient Heaven drops Aziraphale off in Hell.

    He had thought he’d known pain. He was wrong. He couldn’t even cry out. His mouth filled in blood and the air was sucked out of his lungs. It felt as if he’d been severed in two, and he had. Jace’s blow had been just as he had described. It was ironic. Poetic. He had thought he knew what a broken heart felt like, but no, now it had been pierced, and it burned, and ached, and stung, and every other type of agony went through him. Jace’s hand was shaking behind him. It was as if he was talking without speaking. Jonathan turned his eyes towards him. It took every ounce of his energy to respond.

    “I guess father was right.”

    Jace staggered back. He wished to reach for him. He wanted someone to hold him now, that he couldn’t keep himself standing. He felt his legs give in, didn’t know where he was falling to until his back hit water. His mind was becoming fuzzy. Thoughts wouldn’t materialize entirely, instead there was only a constant feeling, glimmers of memories, fear, resentment, jealousy.

    Half a year after first finding out that not everything they learned about their pasts or, indeed, their purpose or the very nature of the Nephilim was true, Alec Lightwood and his friends have turned their backs on the Shadowhunter Organization for good. While they are settling into new lives with new allies, they continue to try and fill the last holes in their knowledge and familiarizing themselves with their new skills.
    The answers they seek are not of this world, however, and their quest to find the truth of their origins will take them the farthest from home still, where support comes from an unlikely source while the greatest danger lies in those they had once considered their salvation.

    The simoom ("poison wind") is a strong, dry and exceedingly hot desert wind. Its sudden onset may cause heat stroke because the wind brings more heat to the body than it can counter through perspiration. The storm moves in a circular form, carrying clouds of dust and sand, and is suffocating to humans and animals.
