    Lu Guang didn’t know a basketball game could change the course of his life like it did. “Why do you take it so seriously?” He has asked while he cocked his head at him. He was never one for sports. “It’s just a game.”

    “Not true.” Cheng Xiaoshi smiled warmly. It surprised him a little, the way he looked at him. “When I pass this ball to you, it’s a symbol of my trust.”

    this is supposed to be the first timeline but i know it doesn't really fit that so well now that we know more but oh well! lets all pretend!

    this is lu guang centric and follows how i thought he felt through a few major "firsts" in his relationship with cxs (not sex tho theres no smut here)

    “What have I walked in on here?” Qiao Ling is used to their antics, but she is dying to know what has Cheng Xiaoshi so worked up that he is actually begging Lu Guang for something.

    Cheng Xiaoshi rubs the back of his neck before climbing to his feet. He kicks at the spot in the rug now wrinkled by the imprints of his knees.

    When he doesn’t speak, Lu Guang answers for him. “He can’t find the remote control.”

    Or: the boys are idiots, and Qiao Ling finds it equal parts amusing and exhausting.
