Happy can't forget the kid he met at the Cabin, there's just something familiar about him. FRIDAY keeps blocking his searches for information until Happy pulls at a thread. The kid had mentioned a secret lab, so why not try to find it on SI site?
Peter allows FRIDAY to let Happy find it, the man would find the door anyway. Happy is surprised at the workshop space, and how it's decked out with all the bells and whistles. He finally accepts that Peter and Tony were close.
(This is a direct sequel to A Mechanic Has Been Called, there are several references to the events of that fic as well as anecdotes from my other series of one-shots)

“Glad to see I’m not the only one who craves a sandwich on Christmas.” MJ said, breaking the silence. She was an introvert, so she knew making small talk was out of character for her, but she felt this great push to talk to the guy ahead of her in line for some reason.
He turned around for a second, taking his headphones out of his ears as he did so. “I’m so-” he cut himself off as soon as he caught proper sight of her, his face going pale white as if he had just seen a ghost and his brown eyes turning into saucers. “Oh.. hi.” He managed to let out feebly, just under his breath.
She knew she should be confused as to why he was acting like this, but truth be told she was also taken aback because something about him felt so familiar. His doe eyes, his mess of curls decorated with melting snowflakes, his subtle freckles… he looked exactly like the boy in her dreams. But he couldn’t be…could he?

Peter had to begin his life anew, creating a new identity as Peter Parker. He begins a semi normal life, and eventually running into Bucky, who remembers him. Peter happily invites Mr. Barnes into his life.
