Harry is playing with Jean’s hair, high off pyrholidon. He gets so touchy on it, something about textures.
“When you’re forty-seven…” Harry starts and Jean interrupts with a short bark of a laugh.
“When I’m forty-seven I’ll have been dead for ten years,” Jean says. He’s thirty-one and he’s in love, though he would not admit to that, not even under torture. “I’m in pain all the fucking time now, I can’t imagine a decade and a half plus of usage on this corpse.”
“You won’t be dead,” Harry assures, in this tone he has when he *knows*. “You’ll still be doing the weekend crossword, and I’ll be in the bed next to you, and I’ll be giving you all the fucking wrong answers just to piss you off.”
Jean’s gut trembles and he does what he does every time that feeling surges through him: slap Harry somewhere with the back of his hand.
“Sure, would love to see *me* bother with *you* for another fifteen years. We’ll strangle each other to death before we spend that much time together. You could never put up with me for that long.”
“What do you mean, of course I’ll put up with you, how could I not, you’re the only thing that…” Harry trails off to suck a hickey on Jean’s neck, and Jean doesn't push.

This is such an interesting fic and the dynamic between Jean and Mika is PHENOMENAL. I have never heard of them paired together before this fic (I had to google who Mika was before I read this 🥲) but this is just amazing. Its genius what you've done here. The situation is the perfect amount of fucked up and dubious and the way you've handled the age gap is amazing.

All the mention of Harry throughout this fic got me like 👀 like i am LOVING whatever you are setting up here. The end segment here, once I saw the "it's fine" at the bottom of the screen followed by spaces i stopped scrolling so that it would hit harder and ooooh oooh i love the segment. I dont have the words to describe it but it's a great wrap up for the chapter. I love how honestly, this could've been the end of the fic and I would've accepted it as is.
