Summary
Sunny's reunion with his friends was cut short as he had to hastily leave Faraway after telling them the truth. He'd spend the following six months not knowing what they thought of him now and if they'd even be able to look him in the eye, but it never stopped him form trying to move forward with his life.
Unbeknownst to him, his actions moved their hearts and pushed them to follow their own paths and now they are ready to face him again and reconnect.

“I hear you,” Aubrey whispered, looking away from him and out towards the town below them, recalling what Sunny had said about the accident. “It was just something stupid you did in a rush of emotions. I can relate.” She added on with a bit of a somber tone.
“You didn’t kill anyone.”
“I almost did. If Hero hadn’t been there, both you and Basil would’ve more than likely drowned.”

Very nice one shot, with a relatively unique interpretation on how Aubrey and the rest react to the truth.
Not much to say as this is very nice, though while the sudden peck on the cheek is appreciated it isn't built up to as much as it probably should.
It's a one shot though, what are you gonna do? NOT have the Sunburn? Hell no, not an option.

It's been four years since Mari's suicide, and Sunny hasn't left the house ever since then. He spends most of his day wallowing under his blanket, remembering better days while refusing to face his friends. It all changes when he has a certain dream about Mari as she asks him to put everything back. Now he has to see what has changed, and at the same time, find the strenght to piece everyone back togheter. But it won't be easy, especially since Kel is acting strange.
TL:DR; Mari really does kill herself from depression and Sunny is sad about it for 4 years. There's also something wrong with Kel.
This fic will have a lot of things changed in the story. You'll see what I mean in the next few chapters. Most characters will stay the same with a few tweaks but some of them will change quite a bit.

A really good fic! Unfortunately unfinished, and the rewrite is also unfinished, so this is the closest to the ending that we're going to get for the time being.
Despite that, this has been great! I really enjoyed the plot points, and while I do agree with the statements the author made regarding how they were mostly for shock (And I definitely think that Sally's situation was the worse of the two, since I don't think it added much.) I think the Hero thing was a lot better than they gave it credit for, though how Kel fits into it at the end is somewhat strange, I feel it would've been fine just being a result of grief and guilt instead of being egged on by Kel directly.Either way, I hope that the rewrite is finished some day, though that seems somewhat unlikely.
