Summary
Being an angel who doesn't agree with Heaven is a recipe for anxiety. Aziraphale frequently finds himself upset and sometimes also ill or in pain from worry. Crowley picks up on this pretty early on (he's observant, right?) but getting the angel to trust him enough to let him try to help takes time. A lot of time, centuries in fact.
It’s a developing relationship story with quite a lot of angst and whump (and obviously a lot of Crowly being lovely and caring, when Aziraphale will let him). Written in response to a prompt.
**
Aziraphale had tried to ask about it once.‘Do corporations ever, well, I suppose one might call it malfunction in any way?’
Gabriel had scoffed. He was good at scoffing.
‘Not unless you get discorporated. That might happen if you irritate someone enough. Who have you pissed off?’
**
WIP but almost complete. I'll post three chapters upfront and then update weekly.Series

Summary
Osnat, a young beekeeper in the temple of the Egyptian holy city, stands apart because of her ability to communicate with bees. But when her beloved bees teach her the truth of the Egyptian gods, Osnat decides to discover it for herself––and risks her life in the process. Her only chance to save herself lies with Zafnat-Panea, Pharaoh's new vizier.
As they work together, Osnat is compelled by the mysterious desert god whom Zafnat-Panea serves almost as much as she is drawn to the handsome vizier himself. And Zafnat-Panea finds comfort with the quiet beekeeper whose tenderness soothes the pain of betrayals in his past. The day of fate approaches. Entangled between gods, kings, and bees, Osnat’s faith––and love––are her only path to survival.

Summary
Miriam only ever wanted two things: freedom for her people and reunion with her little brother. Romance never crossed her mind. But when fate brings her to Midian, she finds the freedom she craved, the brother she lost, and the love she never knew she needed.
Or, "The Prince of Egypt but with lesbians." Canon-divergent, Miriam/Tzipporah, with a surprising number of allusions to traditional Torah commentary and midrash. -

Summary
Aziraphale grimaced at the looping script and shoved it back at [Crowley]. “That’s where I’m headed.”
The parchment sizzled to ash in Crowley’s palm. “That’s not all I know. That Maharal fellow’s on his way out. Er, whatsisface—Rabbi Loew?”
“Then what are you doing here?” Aziraphale blurted, bewildered at Crowley’s presence. Upstanding religious leaders merited monitoring, but rarely by the other side. “I’m meant to…” He bit his tongue, wondering how much he ought to censor. “Follow up on an accomplishment he’s rumored to have, er, accomplished. See to it there’s no unfinished business surrounding…that.”
“What am I doing here?” Crowley snapped, growing agitated. “To find out how he bloody well did it, preferably before the breath leaves his body. D’you think I like watching humans die?”

Summary
Midrash Aggada is a traditional method of exploring scripture drawn from the Jewish tradition--rabbinic and Talmudic. A light, rather flip definition might be "Sacred fanfic told using scriptural characters and situations to explore theological premises." Storytelling with theological whup-ass potency.
As I have said before, I've tried to stay away from too much theology and doctrine in this. But on Christmas Day, as the last section before heading toward New Years, it seems fair and reasonable to write this as another aside, and let Sherlock the atheist and Mycroft the theist have a discussion from the heart of their own individual uncertainties.
It's a Christmas midrash about Christmas midrash, as Mike tries to explain about believing the unbelievable, and having faith in what you can only imagine.
On any given day I'm both Sherlock and Mycroft in this argument. I quite enjoyed writing Sherlock's furious and defiant disbelief.
