Summary
This series of stories is inspired by The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley. It begins with a story called The Choice which has nineteen chapters of adventure for Graham Gore and his Bridge in the San Juan Islands, continuing the original story plot and adding several original characters. Although the story has a final chapter, it felt like there was more to say about these characters, and so I did. Each of the following one-shot stories takes the story further, and some other time Travellers show up.
Arthur John Gore, also known as Captain Lewis, told me that he felt neglected. The character asked me to write a story for him, and I did. His is the alternate universe where Adela Gore dies and her husband Graham is an Admiral, and Arthur grows up to have an interesting life. These chapters are now complete, I did not predict 35 of them. They are packed with plots, spies, action adventure and the very hard realization that the future hates you and wants to kill you. I'm sorry, it's sad in parts, I expect tears, I certainly shed them.
Arthur, at the end of his story, arrives in the past to be a beggar from the future. Romance also ensues.

In the book The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley, the character of Arthur John Gore is introduced as the fifteen-year-old child of Adela Gore and the first Graham Gore abducted from the past.
In this fan fiction response to the novel the first Graham Gore becomes an Admiral, after Adela dies. See "What the Future Holds for Arthur Gore" to read more about his life.
At age sixty-seven Arthur is ordered to go into the time machine to the past in be a beggar for the future. If the peoples of the past can make a few different choices, everyone's lives will be better. He becomes the Diplomat from the Future. He works with Envision, an environmental org., and is busy, but lonely. His friend Layla Nazeri takes him to visit her Baha'i family in Vancouver, B.C., where he meets her widowed aunt, Pari. Arthur and Pari fall in love, they marry, and then they have to figure out what that means for the rest of their lives as he is a diplomat and sometimes she is Mrs. Diplomat.
This multi-chapter story is meant to be a romance. Occasionally, other characters from The Ministry of Time will stop by.

Summary
This is a work of Fan Fiction inspired by The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley The author of this book invented and owns the characters and the plot.
The book ends with a cliff hanger and when wondering what would come next in the story, I indulged myself in typing out a scene, and ended up typing up a whole story. This story only makes sense if you have read The Ministry of Time, I have not over-explained plot points.
The Narrator of the original story is un-named. She is called “my bridge” and "Little Cat" by Graham Gore. She is an employee of the Ministry of Defence who was recruited into the Time Travel division. Her profession is translation of Asian languages. In this story she may seem passive, and rightly so. She believes she may have been complicit in a war crime. She has trauma having witnessed at least three violent deaths. She has every reason to be reactive, cautious and wary.
