What is the price of near immortality? Out of the dawn of a new age, pureblood vampires are created, whether due to a curse, genetic mutation, or evolution, only the stars knows. A look into Kaname's origins and life with the Hooded Woman, as he endures the suffering and joys of humanity. After centuries of life, Kaname is reborn, unaware of his past except for small flashes that plague his mind as he encounters a certain silver-haired a-hole. But he can't stay stuck in his mysterious past, pure-blood society has reverted from its values and the Vampire Hunter Association has become corrupt.
The romance and plot points that could have been fleshed out but weren't, tragically.

Months after Ridos' ashes have settled and Kaname has left Cross Academy with Yuuki, he comes to the realization that maybe everything he had done wasn't in everyone's best interest. The VHA are a mess on the prowl, the vampires are somehow in an even bigger disarray and he's starting to feel guilty about what he's put Cross academy and its students through, especially concerning one silver haired hunter who he is becoming increasingly aware of, and aware he may have fucked over.
Back at the academy once more and again surrounded by the inner circle he knows he can trust, the pureblood is forced to come to terms with the fact that their lives are being used as pawns once more. This time though? Kaname's not a player, but a piece like everyone else.

or just a fanfic where the main guy went from being a hunter to a pureblood vampire, is gay for Zero, and adjusting to life when suddenly a ghoul turns up at his school and introduces him to a whole new world, plus lots of fun and cool plot that feels like it goes nowhere but trust me everything ties into each other (somewhat).
