Bailey looks back down at the man, spattered with crimson, eyes wide open in terror. He still has the top half of his head, miraculously, even if he was robbed of his life. They sigh, their heart heavy and hope he didn't have too many to leave behind. “I'll put it to good use, I promise.” They lean down and press his eyelids closed. “If you pray to any Gods, I hope they find you and keep you in good hands.”
Bailey wasn't a religious sort. Whatever they couldn't do with their own two hands they certainly wouldn't trust a God to do for them - but they respected those who valued the safety and guidance that came from worship.
“Hopefully they don't have anything in store for me, either.” Heaving a loud, long breath Bailey ventures forward, their shoes leaving tracks along the shoreline.
That was how it all would begin.

Tav is a changeling who has a complicated (and unhealthy) relationship with their identity. They are desperate to keep being Tav even when the name no longer fits; even as it slowely eats away at them. Their facade is prone to slip around a certain campmate escpecially.

Gale and Astarion discover something magical, something that will alter the course of Astarion's fate. He wakes up and finds himself in a strange new world, in the land of Skyrim. He will soon learn this happened for a reason, but for now he must focus on survival, finding friends, and figuring out how he can return to his actual friends, if possible. Meanwhile Tav and their merry little band go to the ends of the earth to retrieve their lost friend.
While I was unaware this had already been done when I wrote the first chapter, another user has had the same idea. Credit where credit is due, I have linked their fic as inspiration. I will try to post a chapter each Monday until the story is finished.
