Asgore was quite the conundrum to Sans, mostly because he was just so...nice. Sans knew probably better than anyone what Asgore had done to the human children who came through the underground. Even if he hadn’t killed them himself, he had still given the order. He had still told everyone in the underground to kill them on sight. But, talking to him, there was absolutely nothing that would’ve made Sans, or anyone else think ‘yeah, this is definitely a guy who’s hellbent on the destruction of humanity’.
