Summary
This used to be part of my oneshot collection, but I liked it so much that I decided to give it it's own fanfic and more chapters.
It's a soft mirror verse, where there is no war, Miles lives with his family on earth, both in the teaching buisness. Garak and Kelas have just moved to earth, Mona Luvsitt is real and a nurse and Jules Bashir is an autistic young man who's parents never went to that Klingon Hospital. And he is living his best life.

Summary
This is a re-write of the DS9 episode, 7x05 Chrysalis, written for the DS9 Tumblzine Week 3 challenge 'Fix It', and based on a prompt submitted to that zine by bmouse. Though the story follows the same basic plot, it explores more extensively the effects this situation could have on Sarina, Julian, and in this case, Ezri Dax. And, basically, that whole 'love story' is out.
Warnings for ableism, especially internalized ableism, as well as fictional!neuroatypical characters in a sci-fi setting, for anyone actually unfamiliar.

Summary
What if the episode Statistical Probabilities wasn't Julian meeting Patrick, Lauren, Jack, and Sarina, but instead Julian has grown up in the Institute with everyone else and it's Dr. Keiko there to meet them?
What if the story isn't that the Federation needs to surrender immediately to reduce the number of deaths, but something much more complex than that?

A fix fic for "Statistical Improbabilities" -- Garak realizes the true potential of the Jack Pack, just as he's beset by a mountain of orders.

Summary
"From childhood’s hour I have not been
As others were—I have not seen
As others saw—"For Jack, the thought of being alone has always been far worse than the thought of a life imprisoned, and above all, he's spent a lifetime desperate for someone to understand him. When Sarina leaves, he doesn't know what to do, until she gives him an idea: stay on Deep Space Nine with one Doctor Julian Bashir, the man who has everything that Jack has ever wanted.
Of course, why didn't he think of that?
Bashir looks up as Jack expected quick, the expression on his face changing with every word just like Jack had imagined after he, himself had read it. Bashir blinks at him dumbly, conflicted, those words echoing back “I know you feel guilty for what happened and I forgive you but if you still don’t feel that enough, would you please help Jack?...” She said Bashir was lonely, needy, desperate, and Jack thinks that he’s like Baudelaire’s king of a rain-country for whom nothing will ever satisfy but… he is the king that Jack must swear fealty to and so he smiles.

Summary
Being genetically enhanced, Julian Bashir didn't have many options for a career but at least he was able to get his medical license outside of Starfleet. He's finally about to embark on his first career opportunity as the ship doctor of a long haul freighter. But after meeting a beautiful woman at a bar he wakes up instead a captive of a strange group of humans who may or may not be pirates. They also may or may not also be the genetically enhanced escapees from the Institute three years back with a stolen Centaur class starship.
Julian is a doctor, dammit not a pirate! But it seems he won't have much choice in the matter. And besides, the man with the mustache might even be a little cute... if only he would stop threatening to space him!
This is an ongoing story so no planned end but no cliffhangers either. Each chapter is linear but still more or less self contained unless otherwise noted. Other tags/characters/pairings to be added as they appear. Rating may change but not any time soon.

Summary
When Julian and Ezri break-up, their lives and the fates of two species are irrecoverably altered. Ezri and her lost love Lenara try to start over again while stumbling their way through their role as leaders of a Trill expatriate revolution against the Symbiosis Commission. Lonely and grieving the loss of his found family at DS9, Julian infiltrates the volunteer corps assisting in the Cardassian relief effort in a bid to rescue Jack, Lauren, and Patrick, who were apparently kidnapped from their institution by Elim Garak. Of course, things are more complicated than they appear, as they always are with Garak and Julian's mutant friends.
