For the most part, he finds nothing until one day; an incident leaves him stuck with a creature that shouldn't exist.

    This is a complete overhaul of the story. There is a lot of angst but no worries. Fluff will come. Warning there is a lot of gore. And suffering lol.

    As he walked back home, Tom lamented that he hadn’t gotten any pictures of the dragon. Then again, he wasn't sure he wanted anyone finding out about this yet. Sure, dragons were usually the bad guys in stories, but this one saved his life! They couldn’t be all bad.

    So he’d go back tomorrow. Through the cave, not the fissure, because he wasn't an idiot. And he’d hang out with the dragon, maybe learn a little bit more about it, and have something of his own for the first time in… well, ever.

    It was a nice thought.

    Buzzsaw's temporary camp, as it turned out, was only a small part of a very-not-temporary larger facility, set up for the sole purpose of luring the Dragon Club into a trap. The Dragon Club discovered that when they stumbled straight into the aforementioned trap.

    And as if that wasn't bad enough, Buzzsaw's no longer working alone. In fact, he's joined up with a group of Neo-Nazis who discovered the Hidden World years before Tom did. The leader of these modern-day Dragon Hunters has developed a means to graft dragon traits onto humans and vice versa... and has decided that Tom and his friends would make perfect test subjects.

    And thus begins yet another monument to my penchant for turning my favorite characters into half-dragon half-human hybrids in incredibly traumatic ways.
