He’s also trying to figure out where Cas is getting the random assortment of objects he keeps pulling out of his sleeve. He always seems to have exactly what Dean needs. Or maybe the truth is that Cas is exactly what Dean needs.

Cas flicks his hand in a motion that Dean finds familiar, the same one that always produces his angel blade. But instead of the silvery-white gleam of his signature weapon, a little book of matches falls into his palm. He hands it off to Dean. It’s from a strip club in St. Louis, judging by the mirrored silhouettes of two curvaceous women and the address printed on it.
“Got something to tell me?” Dean chuckles.
“Yes. I agree you’re getting too old for digging up graves. Although I assume you were asking where I got the matches. I’m not going to tell you.”
Dean gapes at him. “What? Why?”
“Because the expression on your face is hilarious,” Cas says, and saunters off toward the car.

Pete glances at him, a grin tugging at his mouth. “Yeah? That’s too bad, Ray,” he says. “I think you’d make a mighty good husband.”
Ray looks at him, eyebrows raised, and then huffs out a laugh. “You flirtin’ with me, Pete? Seems a bit queer.”
The words hang there, not sharp, but not gentle either. Pete’s smile falters just a fraction. He looks away, his hand tightening around the baseball — the one still warm from Ray’s touch.
He turns it once, twice in his hand before offering it back. “Oh, you know me,” he says, trying for lightness, voice a little too even. “Ever the flirt.”
He walks a few paces ahead, pretending to study the cracks in the road, pretending the air doesn’t feel different now.
It takes two, three, four seconds before Ray catches up again, falling into step beside him like he always does. His voice is softer this time. “You really think I’d be a good husband?”
Pete looks at him then — really looks — at the sunhat, the freckles, the faint blush rising under the dirt and sweat. And he smiles, slow and sure.
“In another universe, Ray,” he says, “I think the Greek gods wrote the stars to have your name down as the best damn lover there is.”
Ray goes quiet, face burning red. He looks down, mumbling, “Thanks, Pete.”

Summary
To stop Thanos, Stephen Strange is forced to cast a spell where the Avengers and co are kicked out of their home dimension and placed into a complete new one to start anew.
But weakened in battle, Strange only had enough strength to bring half of the heroes in Gotham, the rest were all scattered into various hidden limbo realms within the multiverse until they could safely be retrieved.
But with no money any only the gear they came with, they have no way of getting the materials needed to build the portal needed to bring their missing friends home.
At least, not legally.
Deciding to temporarily turn into a crime mob, the Avengers are now known in Gotham as a gang of criminals who steal high tech machinery from LexCorp, Wayne Industries, etc.
The Avengers are now fighting to not just bring their missing family and friends back to this new dimension, but to throw off the bat and bird themed vigilantes that are hunting them down.
Only one thing was certain in this dimension: chaos was an inevitability.
