After everything that happened with Stolas, that unleashed rage Blitzø felt back at the palace was very much gone. The first thing he wanted to do after leaving Stolas’ palace was go to the nearest bar and get shitfaced drunk and forget all about tonight, but when he got in his van, he found himself unable to drive. Or walk. Or do pretty much anything except pick up his phone and call Fizzarolli.
Why Fizz? At that moment, he felt like the only one who could help Blitzø understand what the fuck collapsed around him in a matter of minutes.

The soft laugh from Vassago, paired with the look of complete shock on Andrealphus’s face, went to Stolas’s head like a wine. God, he had waited years for a moment like this. Being able to put Andrealphus in his place without any fear of retaliation from Stella when he got home. Andrealphus was smart, of course, but Stolas had long been able to see all of the chinks in his armour and had just been unable to do anything about it. But here he was now, with nothing left to lose, and he could stab this arrogant man right where he was softest.
“Nothing to say for once? That is quite unlike you, Andrealphus.”

"So why did you come here in the middle of the night, with a face like someone about to vomit, if not because of that stupid party?"

Stolas has always needed friends, and a friend is what he gets. Clubbing and partying isn't the life he expected himself to live, yet, it's certainly relieving to have someone to vent his frustrations to. However, this friend isn't totally unbiased...
On the other side, Blitzø is fumbling, trying to work through his emotions and wants, and tripping over his own tail as he goes. With the advice of his friends, maybe, just maybe he'll figure out how to fix some things.

It feels nice, reminds them of when they’d spend summers here with their cousins. Sallie spots them first, pulling their suitcase over the rocky terrain.
She runs over, “Junie?! What’re you doing here? What happened to your face?!” and the flood gates open. They collapse into Sallie’s arms and Sallie hesitantly hugs them, pulling them back by the shoulders.

As Zagan unleashes chaos and dark illusions, Blitz’s protective instincts clash with Stolas’s desire for independence. They will have to adapt to not only nurture what could finally be a real relationship between the two of them, but perhaps to survive at all.
