Summary
Clay had been experiencing a notable improvement in his well-being recently. His sessions with Dr. Ellman had become less frequent, his medication seemed to be effective, and he had been –as his parents had suggested– participating in “normal teenager activities”.

He turned back to Justin, “How are you doing now?”
”I’m good brrro,” Justin’s eyelids drooped, he was slurring his words.
The neurotoxicity was progressing despite the pressure bandage. Clay had to get him to a hospital as soon as possible.
A movement behind Justin caught Clay’s eye. Something in the distance broke the static outline of the desert.
Clay deciphered a shape as it stalked deliberately towards the pair from several hundred metres away. It froze as soon as it realised Clay was looking in its direction, it’s tawny coat melted into the background.
The thing would have been invisible if Clay didn’t already know it was there.
Clay turned away, counted to ten and moved his head slightly so the thing would be in his peripheral vision. Sure enough, it was moving slowly in their direction again.
“Justin,” Clay’s voice turned deathly quiet, “Something’s following us. I think it’s a cougar.”
“Oh… that’s bad right?”
Clay‘s heart was racing, he knew this situation could turn deadly for the both of them very quickly. Justin’s rattlesnake bite was the least of their issues now.
One of Justin’s road trips goes horribly wrong…

Justin se da cuenta de ello y un día de esos lo sigue ya que teme que este envueltos en cosas raras pero lo que descubrirá lo dejara impactado y talvez pudiese poner en peligro, la relación entre ambos.
