“I suppose we won’t be meeting with the High King here,” Findekáno sidled up beside Makalaurë, as he sized up the tiny outpost from their perch on the prow.
“So it would seem,” the minstrel answered, his eyes scanning the faces of elves. None of them were of his family.
“They must have long moved inland,” he mused.
A hand slipped into the Fëanorion’s, and he tore his gaze away from his search to glance at Findekáno. His cousin’s face shone with kindness and hope, and it was hard not to feel unworthy being under such regard.
“Then we will follow and catch up to them,” Findekáno easily said.

Now that everyone has arrived to Beleriand Filgolfin's Host needs to catch up to the Fëanorians. That means being filled in on the events that had transpired while they were sailing, settlements that were built, early alliences that were made, and the battles already fought without them. Also traversing all the way to Mithrim to meet with the Fëanorians. But Maglor and Fingon's relationship status is not the only thing that has changed in all that time. What sort of changes will Maglor find within his own family when he sees them again?Series

"Hail, Prince Nolofinwë, Son of Finwë!" Makalaurë's strong voice travelled through the crowd, and perhaps even the entire encampment.
"Hail, Prince Makalaurë, Son of Fëanáro!" his uncle greeted back, face blank like it always had been in court.
"I come to you as Herald and Ferryman, at the behest of Crown Prince Nelyafinwë Maitimo," Makalaurë explained. "I have brought to you the Telerin swan-ships as is his wish for you to join our father's host on the shores of Beleriand."
"That is most gracious of Crown Prince Nelyafinwë," Nolofinwë spoke up, quieting down the crowd once more.
"But what of High King Fëanáro?" he asked, a pointed edge to his tone. "Has he also sanctioned our retrieval?"
--------Maglor sails back to retrieve his uncle's host. However, there are strained family and political situations to contend with, and a message to deliver from Maedhros to Fingon. The problem is, the message is a kiss.

The Unlight covered Valinor in total darkness. Even when the Unlight passed, the elves had only the stars to guide them. Fëanáro intends to use his title as King to exact revenge on the fallen Vala, Morgoth, who has murdered his father and stolen the precious Silmarils, the only remaining source of hallowed light. Eve and her husband Findekáno travel together back to the other lands. But what will they find there?
This is the final part of her story: one of family, of faith, and of tragedy.

Summary
A poem I originally posted as an interlude in "Woman of Secret Shadow". There's too much Quenyan linguistics in that one already, so I decided to separate this. Yes, I used to write poems in the Elven languages. This is a love song Fanian used to sing to Nurtalessen when they were still happy together in Aman. Here you have first the English, then the Quenyan, then a word-to-word translation of the Quenyan with explanations and other boring linguistic stuff. Apparently I can't choose more than one language for a work, so I chose Quenya for this one.

Yara is a Syrian refugee, and life doesn't get much shittier than that, does it? Unless you're a Syrian refugee who suddenly finds herself in a place where no one understands what she's saying, there is no wi-fi, and how did she even get there? Through all the gloom the stars are twinkling, just like the eyes of the people around her.
A good fic if you like elves, language barriers, and OC's who break the mould. Not as depressing as the tags seem. Actually quite uplifting. Not a mary-sue, and not a tenth-walker. I am writing this for my own pleasure, and the plot meanders. It's mostly just an excuse to spend a lot of time in Middle-Earth with the elves, and you're very welcome to join me! :)
This takes place entirely in the Third Age, but has become full of First Age-references and contexts.

Let me teach you the things you should have learnt from your mother.”Elrond hesitated. That was to be expected. He had been trained to be loyal to his kidnappers. Thingol could be patient. He painted a gentle smile on his face and sweetened his voice.
“I am told you know a little of our festivals and our literature, but do you know our songs? Our dances? Do you know the food we eat and the clothes we wear? You should at least learn of your culture.”
After a disastrous first meeting, Thingol attempts to connect with Elrond, his one living male descendant. Elrond is more interested in negotiating peace between the Noldor and the Sindar. Neither get quite what they want.

The next thing he knew was light, brilliant and golden as if from Laurelin itself. He blinked, shielding his eyes instinctively until they adjusted. The light source was nothing natural like a tree but a great orb of fire which hung in the sky, menacing those below like a great eye. So the Valar did not need his Silmarils after all, it seemed! They had done well enough without.
Fëanor is returned from the Halls of Mandos and placed into the provisional care of his adopted grandson for further healing. He grapples with adjusting to the Fourth Age of Arda and confronting the many elves who are apprehensive about his return. At least his grandson shows some promise.
