Late nights when his plating was so indescribably awful that he found himself just barely resisting the urge to tear it off and drown himself in boiling hot solvent; early mornings where the dusty blanket slipped off the cracked old mirror in the corner and he just wanted to shatter the mirror further, punch it until it split into shards too small to see himself in - and the pain of splintering glass worming itself into the hands that weren't even his was only a benefit.

Basically, I re-wrote Ratchets reaction to Optimus and everyone else being alive and on earth and never telling him, cause, RUDE. Also massive angst. They aren’t officially in a relationship at this point, more like mutual pining that they are both terrified to admit. But mostly pain. Because Ratty and Opi got some issues to work out that aren’t really worked out. Also, ignore my bad spacing all of this is on a phone so bear with me. Also I accidentally forgot Undertone existed. Whoops.
