    “Quake,” The Widow says. Fuck, she recognises Daisy? Fuck that. Bobbi’s smile from behind The Widow has now surpassed evil and gained a malignancy that she can only describe as supervillain-esque.

    “Yup,” Bobbi says, “Daisy Johnson, AKA Quake. Better hacker than Stark, as good a fighter as me, recently solved a major problem by just propelling it to outer space to freeze to death, one of the latest members of our elite club of May’s protégés - ”

    That actually seems to surprise The Widow a little bit, which tracks – she’d never known quite what May and Coulson’s deal with The Widow and Hawkeye had been, but it made sense that May would have trained her at one point.

    Unfortunately, Bobbi continues.

    “Once told me that – and I quote – “Now that I’m really in the superhero business myself I kind of think that most of the Avengers suck ass, but I’d still totally let the Black Widow raw me.”

    Daisy shrieks, and quakes Bobbi over a wall.

    When Sam came back to the facility to shut down the Goa’uld forceshield, she'd expected to find Colonel O’Neill. She had actually planned on it. No man left behind.

    But Sam hadn't expected to find a 12 year old kid named Daisy, who was somehow immune to Hathor’s breathing virus and... who had also rejected and killed a Goa’uld symbiote– Hathor herself, when Hathor had tried taking her over as a host.

    She and Col. O'Neill had brought Daisy back home... and then things had gone wrong. Daisy was dying. Desperate, Sam and Jack used Ancient Technology to save Daisy, setting off a chain of events that would change their lives, the SGC, Earth, their galaxy and the universe.

     

    Daisy didn't remember much from before Hathor had woken her up and tried to take over her body. Just her name and a few other things.

    The next time she'd woken up, she'd met Sam and Jack. They'd escaped back to Earth, and she'd tried settling in there... and the next thing she knew, Sam and Jack had done something that changed things between all three of them.

    She'd gained (regained?) her powers... and now, Daisy had to grow up- again (puberty, ugh.), but hey! atleast she liked the Stargate Programme and the SGC.

    They stilled, before confidently telling their pre-planned story. “Well, currently I’m quite interested in computer science.” True. “I recently came to this area, moved across town, and I’m looking for a more stable income to help support myself.” Also true. “I found SHIELD online and HQ seemed like an ideal place to do work. Where I came from, people weren’t so accepting, so it was refreshing to come here, where most people get it.” Also true. Skye was killing it with their skirting of the whole living in a van, taking random online hacking jobs for money, ran away from their orphanage thing. “I was talking with my new friends here, and they suggested that there might be space here for another worker, so here I am.” They put a big innocent smile on their face, hoping they wouldn’t be interrogated about the story.
