It wasn’t his father who was broken by grief when Voldemort first struck all those years ago. It wasn’t him who had to stand by and watch his father become a hollow shell of a man, consumed by self-loathing and guilt for the lives he could not save. So no, I didn’t expect Albus Dumbledore, of all wizards, to understand why I did this. This is the sequel to my fanfic Lost in My Mind Book 1 covering the entirety of Goblet of Fire. I tried to write the first chapter so it would make some inkling of sense if you haven't read the first one but I highly recommend reading that first!
