It’s depressing work, bringing down kingdoms to prevent the return of the gods. It’s not what Salem ever wanted to do with an eternal life. And so, to balance her conscience she does good and evil both… sometimes both in the very same act.

The world of Remnant is a vast and dark place. With the world divided and death around every corner, there have been many hunters and huntresses hired and put in the line of duty, though some die young, others live long enough to regret telling the tale.
With a sudden aftermath of unusual natural disasters and Grimm attacks at an all time high, the four major kingdoms have started fighting resources, others even attempting to have smaller parts break away to create newer smaller nations.
With everyone on the thinnest strand of hope, there was a tale of two things that have caused people to still fight for what they can:
Two warriors will come; one with the silver eyes of life, the other with the golden eyes of death. If gold falls, the world will be spared. If silver dies, the living will be no more.
With most silver eyed people being picked off like flies, the last hope is one small newly born child with eyes of silver. It's up to the remains of her family to keep her alive long enough for the tale to become a reality. Gold watches...

The story follows Rayne Lucaneus, a hunter who arrived in Vale a few months ago. Having received an invitation to attend the prestigious Beacon Academy, he sees an opportunity to achieve his goal of becoming the perfect hunter. A finely-honed killing machine capable of exterminating the Grimm and defending the people.
Since the fall of his village one year prior, he’s dreamed of putting an end to the Grimm once and for all. Training day-in, day-out, it is the main thing that drives him. Getting revenge for the family he’s lost, and protecting what little he has left.
Peel away the supposedly determined exterior, however, to find a dangerously damaged soul. Battling the workload of being a Beacon student, the recent loss of his parents and the responsibility of managing a haphazard team, Rayne is almost always at breaking point.
As if the struggles of regular academy life weren’t quite enough, shadows are shifting over Vale. Plans are being set in motion - by both friend and foe. Dust robberies. White Fang insurgents attacking innocents. Agitated Grimm.

The World of Remnant.
In the aftermath of the Great War, a certain form of uneasy peace has arisen from the ashes of the Great Conflict. While the four Kingdoms of Remnant rebuilt themselves and heal the wounds inflicted by war, the ever-present enemy dwelling in the shadows waited for the opportune moment to strike.
However, there are those who were charged by the Wizard with the solemn duty of protecting the inhabitants of Remnant, and this legendary order of warriors exist to vanquish the Grimm and all those who had sworn allegiance to serve the unfathomable darkness.
They are the unbreakable shield of Remnant. And through their actions will the future of Remnant be determined upon.
They are known as The Remnant Knights, Scions of the Knight Order.
