The kine in the booth next to them was listing their sins and Dread couldn't be asked to pay attention to the laundry list they rattled off. How did they remember every little sin they'd committed in the last month? It was like they were reading it off a list.
He twisted and squirmed it the priest's lap to get comfortable, but there was no comfortable position to have your organs pulled at. There’s a sharp zapping sound, and Vegas turns to face him then, revealing the jumper cables in his gloved hands which are connected to a car battery on the table behind him. The rest seems self-explanatory.
“I don’t want information,” Vegas says, finally looking up at him from the cables.
By then Vegas is already advancing on him, much too close for comfort. But Pete has already resigned himself at this point.
