Summary
On hiatus, no motivation :)
After the events of Penacony, a caged bird has gotten the chance of freedom. At the cost of its only warmth. Wandering out with clipped wings under the stars of an Infinite universe it never has been before. With built up past mistakes taking over its frail body, turning into regrets and sorrows.
Can an injured bird heal and fly to skies again, being where it truly is meant to be? The bird asks the stars, its almighty glow showering the fowl in delightful light.
There was no answer from the stars, it was only met with an icy breeze.
It was alright. Sunday already knew the answer, didn't he ask that same question once before?
How foolish, he turned his heel away, entering this small room of his temporary quarters.
Although what he didn't see at first, the stars shined brighter. Even brighter than before.

Summary
Sunday had never known his father, not even seen a picture. Everyone around them growing up commented how much both children looked like their mother, so in his mind they’d simply come from her alone.
It was his honor to subject himself to the pain his mother must've experienced, and no one, certainly not a mangy dog, was going to drag him away from that purpose.

Out of all the people Aventurine finds himself running into, Sunday is the last one he would expect and the first one he would prefer to avoid. Just one look at him is all it takes to remind him of what had occurred between them in the past. Aventurine now supposes that with Sunday's influence being long gone, perhaps it is his turn to try and trap him in a few mind games, unaware that these very games may be trapping himself as well.
