It became a routine, or, well, it had been his routine for a long time; going through the frequencies and listening in - but 95 itself became routine. Sometimes he'd start with it, then skip it midway through. Sometimes he'd wait, something in his chest tight, as if he was anxious. As if he were meeting her in person, waiting for her in person - rather than sitting behind a desk scrolling ever closer to her frequency.
He'd say hello, sometimes. Just quietly, just under his breath, but… but it made him feel a little more confident. If she could be so level headed… well then he had no excuse…
