Now Yondu Udonta finally has a place of his own, a job he doesn’t hate, and plenty of shinies to wallow in as he pleases. It takes a headfirst collision with some clumsy, lanky Xandarian, all limbs and fluff and the most ridiculous blue eyes Yondu’s ever seen, to throw an unexpected wrench in his carefully constructed life.

    In which sex work is just another job Yondu has, and Kraglin is the gawky free-lance mercenary who somehow makes him develop feelings and also get into an Aaskavarian deadlock with some navy-clad jackass of a space pirate.

    For the Guardians of the Galaxy, everything was going pretty great! After all, they saved the galaxy twice in a row; that oughta boost up their prices for sure!

    So when Nova Prime calls them up to guard a scientist who's researching some ancient, unknown artifact for them on Xandar, as well as offering one trillion freakin' units to protect them for it, how the hell would they refuse?

    But what they weren't expecting was said scientist to be a rather big, scruffy, yet young-looking Terran who's wearing casual, worn-out clothing including sandals, has the same taste in music as Quill, and is currently downing some kind of a beverage in this weird blue can that says "Pepsi"... whatever the hell that means.

    (An AU idea where Yondu lives, and he, Kraglin, and Nebula join the Guardians post GOTG Vol. 2, creating a possible different future for Infinity War, Endgame, and the future GOTG Vol. 3)
