Everyone is keen to welcome Rift to the fold, especially Wild, who takes on the role of the new kid’s mentor. But as he settles in, Rift begins to realize that his adventure wasn’t quite like everyone else's: compared to the others, he barely did anything! Zelda was the hero of his tale, not Link. This realization leaves Rift feeling woefully inadequate, his self-esteem crumbling until it reaches a breaking point. Can Rift’s new brothers, particularly his mentor, help him pick up the pieces and convince him that he truly does belong?

    Or: Wild gets a “cub” of his own, Warriors and Time are the best big brothers anyone could ask for, and Rift finds a family.

    The whole reincarnation-thing is a cycle. That's kind of the definition of reincarnation. Still, some of the Links wish that the cycle wouldn't repeat itself quite this quickly. What do you MEAN Ganon can come back this many times in one lifetime? Surely he got the memo of one (1) Ganon for every one (1) hero? Surely it can't be right that ALL world-ending events have to happen during these nine guys' lives? Where's the justice in that? Yes, we're looking at you, Hylia

    Summary

    Choice.

    Link never had a choice in whether or not he fought for his kingdom, in whether or not he became Hylia's chosen hero. Zelda never had a choice in whether or not she inherited Hylia's blood, and sealing powers that make her be hunted by forces of darkness. They didn't choose for portals to take them from their homes, and send them through time to fight and stop reincarnated forces of evil from their pasts. But... in time, they do choose to care about their brothers and sisters, forced, like them, into the curse that is the root of each of their sufferings.

    They fight, the Links and the Zeldas, with every ounce of strength that they possess to stop what they think is just their villain's latest scheme to spread destruction and violence throughout Hyrule. But when they learn of their villain's true intent to change history, and free the Links and Zeldas from the curse that has brought them so much pain, for once... they get to choose their own fate.

     

    Or, a beginning to end Linked Universe quest where the Links and Zeldas travel through time as their own separate groups, working together to stop their greatest foes reincarnated, who are also working together, to change the history of Hyrule.

    Three left. Sky dealt better with his anxiety and breathing issues when distracted, and he'd probably tire himself out and end up falling asleep sooner rather than later. Sky's coddling was most of the care Four needed, as well; mentally, Warriors knocks Four – the person – off his list of people to take care of.

    Injuries, now. Some of the tension leaks from Warriors's frame. Injuries are easy, now, familiar, no matter who he's treating. The current lack of healing items should stress him out, but that, too, comes with a strange tinge of comfort; they'd never had enough supplies during the war effort, perpetually using more than they could gather.

    Familiarity was comforting. That didn't mean it was good.
