Her warm hands took hold of your wrists, pulling them towards her as your body followed her direction. You almost flew into her chest but she moved ahead of you, dragging you into the middle of the room. You let out a surprised gasp at her sudden action but hesitantly followed her steps.
"Jessie?" You called out to her over the blasting music, hoping to hear an explanation of her hasty actions. "You'll see!" She let go of your wrist as she bent over, her face meeting yours as she stuck her index finger pointed upwards with a teasing wink.
From the corner of your eye, you witnessed Cloud sighing, and letting himself get dragged into the middle of the room by his childhood friend. He was pushed towards you, stumbling slightly before standing upright once again. He was standing next to you now, an arm coming up to scratch the back of his neck awkwardly. The gang roars in excitement as they begin pointing upwards.
Your eyes slowly travel upwards, a mistletoe was lazily hung up. Your eyes instantly widened at the sight and your heart dropped, it felt as if you were suddenly hyperaware of all of your senses.
Both you and Cloud were... standing under a mistletoe.

Cloud has only known what is left of himself, and the frigid bite of dank air beneath the plate in Midgar. Having grown up at the Leaf House since he was 8, he does everything he can to stay out of trouble and keep his head down. His dream? Making SOLDIER rank.
The thing is, no one bothers to tell him how, where, or when to start his dream. They all just expect this boy with no memory of his past to step into the unknown.
Setting off, he meets a team known as Avalanche. Who is constantly searching for the lost prince. All orphans from the battle, trying to rebuild their lives. Hoping for some kind of savior Cloud is sure isn’t him.
Meanwhile, a certain King’s Shield in training has been assigned to infiltrate Avalanche’s ranks, also in search of the missing piece to his homeland. And Zack will stop at nothing to obtain the pride, and prince he once lost that fateful night twelve years ago.
Unfortunately, the team and the kingdom’s military only have a year before they are left politically vulnerable as Queen Consort Claudia is forced to step down. Which would leave the throne wide open for the King of the small Southern Kingdom of Wall Market, Don Corneo to pick at the corpse of the once beautiful land. -
