‘Damn. Who’d have thought?’ he jokes.
‘Yeah, yeah, more at eleven,’ she says, rolling her eyes. ‘But what I’m saying is it’s okay if you didn’t come back with your whole life worked out. Your trip was for other important decisions.’
‘I mean, I pretty much only decided I should make out with Abed.’ He gets all warm and fuzzy and distracted for a second over how well that decision paid off, then snaps back to the conversation he’s having right now. ‘And that I shouldn’t eat baked goods in Amsterdam just because they have a cool name—did you know space cakes have nothing to do with space?’

Troys worked in the castle for years, he had the honour of being Prince Abed's Equerry, meaning he spends all of his days with the most beautiful person in all of Greendaleiea. Abed made Troy feel like he was so much more than an Equerry. He made Troy feel a lot of things, and Troy himself knew he was terrible at hiding the fact that he is head over heels in love with the Prince. Troy always dreamed of Abed returning those feelings, but even if Abed felt the same he knew they couldn't be together because Abed has to marry someone royal, Troy, definitely, is NOT royal.
