Summary
Peter knows Tony doesn’t forget on purpose, and he knows that Tony means well with his concern. But, the man has to deal with the fact Peter isn’t a hero, and is in fact, a vigilante. If all he gets is a broken nose after a long night of patrol, Peter considers himself lucky.
A lot of vigilante things were lost on Tony, such as bad PR. Sure, the Avengers get some bad PR, but never J. Jonah. Jameson style, but then again, Spider-Man always had the best pictures, because Peter Parker gave them in for a bit of extra money.
There was some things you learn when you’re in Peter’s line of business, and that is, how to calm down a rape victim, how to help a lost child who doesn’t want help, who to punch harder than the rest, who are first time thieves, and that sometimes things like “don’t pull the knife out” is a rule best ignored, (unless it was somewhere bad bad).
You know Tony’s too far gone from the vigilante line of work, when it’s Pepper Potts, who tells Tony that a broken nose is the least of Peter’s worries, even though she too freaks out about it.Or;
5 times The Avengers (excluding Clint) forgot Peter Parker is a vigilante, and 1 time everyone remembered.

Eight months ago, Spider-Man was killed in an explosion orchestrated by HYDRA, leaving behind his mourning friends and family.
Eight months ago, Peter Parker opened his eyes in an underground bunker, in a room with Director Fury.
The only one who knows of Peter’s continued presence in the land of the living is Fury himself, and he offers Peter a proposal— becoming an undercover SHIELD agent.
Fury's motivation: a HYDRA computer disk containing critical information– and Peter (enhanced, anonymous, and seemingly deceased) is the perfect undercover agent.
Peter’s motivation: protect his friends and family, and continue his duties as Spider-Man, in order to take down one of the most infamous supervillain organizations in the world. No biggie.

“You’ve got a good thing going on here kid,” Tony said suddenly, cutting off Peter’s protests as he laid a comforting hand on the youth’s shoulder. “Looking out for the little guy and all that? That’s good. That’s perfect actually. The world could use a lot more of it, if you ask me.”
“But I can make a difference with the Avengers,” Peter countered with painfully pleading eyes.
“You already make a difference kid, you just can’t see it,” Tony sighed. He understood the teenager’s frustration. Truly, he did. But after everything that had already happened- after the unconscious scare at the airport with Peter and witnessing Rhodey hit the ground trapped in a metal tomb and remembering Roger’s hatred fuelled expression as he slammed his shield into Tony’s face over and over and over again-
No, Tony couldn’t bear the thought of Peter being out in the big leagues. He had only just found his soulmate, and he sure as hell wasn’t going to let anyone take him away. Not now. Not ever.

Summary
A Peter Parker & Avengers-centric series focusing on an alternate universe where Peter is forced to develop his skills a lot earlier on in the universe due to factors detailed in the first book. The resulting sequel(s) detail what effect this more highly trained Peter Parker could have on the events that play out in the MCU, such as Infinity War and Endgame. Features a natural development of a father-son type of relationship between Tony and Peter, as well as Peter's individual interactions with each of the Avengers, and the gradual mending of the friendship between Tony and Steve in order to actually portray the Avengers as a family, not just a team. Aunt May, Ned, and MJ are also heavily featured as well. In addition, readers are able to see Peter develop into a more confident and capable character, naturally growing into a similar version of his comic-book self while still being placed in the MCU.
Lastly, I can guarantee that each of the books and the series will have a happy ending; the movies already provide us with enough of the alternative. So if that is something you are concerned about, don't be- there will be astonishing amounts of angst, but also funny moments and plenty of comfort to balance it out!
