Summary
Leo got hit first. He remembered how unnervingly fast it took down their usually hardy leader. Of course, this caused Raph to lose his cool even more and threaten air, making himself a prime target. At least he managed to knock one away with his sai before being hit. Donnie pulled Mikey down behind an air conditioning unit. He used his staff to fake movement and watched as a dart embedded itself into the wood. He marveled at the green-tipped feathers, how no one he knew used this model of dart, and nearly missed Mikey scolding him for losing concentration. Ironic, coming from Mikey.
And that’s when he felt the sharp pain, watched his little brother’s blue eyes widen, and all the colors of the world ran together like an overworked watercolor painting. No doubt Mikey got hit soon after him.
Come to think of it, what did become of his brothers?

(This is literally just me thinking what rise villains could I put into other tmnt. So here's Hypno in 2012!)
When the villain alarm goes off in the middle of the night, Leo wants to waste no time in going after the new mutant that's been spotted. Donnie has a different opinion.
But when Raph and Leo don't return by the next morning, it's up to Mikey and Donnie to rescue them.
...
It had been far too long since they had a mission.
It was obvious that Raph was feeling the same way but didn’t have the respect to hide it. He was openly grinning. The grin looked sharp and twisted under the stark red lighting.
The footage showed a giant hulking mutant awkwardly shimmying the Argosy Theatre doors open before sneaking inside with nervous paranoid glances back. No police cars in sight from the footage.
“A mutant!” Raph cried out incredulously, “All the mutagen is gone. How did some poor schmuck get mutated?”

Starts in the '03 world then goes to the 2012 world.

Her experience must be different from his. Shredder was a fucked-up, evil bastard, but he had at least fooled himself into thinking he loved her. He’s probably over there playing house, pretending everything is normal, and that’s an experience so different from Raph’s that they were barely even comparable.
He wondered if that was maybe even worse, in a way. To be turned into a thing by someone who you thought cared about you, someone who raised you, rather than someone who you had known as nothing but an enemy.

Donnie has everything perfectly under control. Sure, sometimes he hears the voices of those who aren't there, and sometimes he's not in control of his own body- but those are easy fixes. He's fine, dare he say even better than fine! He's so fine that he even constructed a portal to other dimensions in case the Krang come back! It's not like he worked endlessly, almost obsessively, over the portal for days, missing sleep and family trying to talk to him.
He's fine!
He's even fine when the portal swallows him whole and spits him out into a new universe with nothing but his battle shell and clocking broach.
One with alternate versions of him and his brothers, just starting out and fighting their own version of Kraang and bad guys. He's even fine when he gets dragged into their upcoming battles and fights. He's going to get home anyway; what's the harm in helping out his alternate family fight against Kraang?
