“Wow. And I thought this only happened to people in books or movies.” Kurapika observed with minimal amusement. “I think this number was meant for you.”
Leorio pulled a face, as if to say, are you sure?
“Do you seriously think I’m the one she wants?” Kurapika deadpanned.
“You can never assume…’” Leorio blushed, acting bashful. “Well… heh. She’s a nice girl, but.”
“But?” Kurapika urged. “You’re unsure.”
“I mean yeah, I barely know her.”
“That hasn’t stopped you from making advances, before.” Kurapika had a brief, unpleasant flashback to Leorio’s antics during their trials in the Trick Tower.
“I apologized for that! ” Leorio groaned. “Look, she’s beautiful, don’t get me wrong. Just not what I’m looking for right now.”
Before Kurapika could pry, their server returned. Her cheeks were rosy pink as she set up the card machine.

“Want to give you your reward,” Kurapika breathes, his gaze locked onto Leorio’s. He rocks his hips forward again, a deliberate, grinding press that forces a low groan from Leorio’s chest. Leorio’s fingers dig into Kurapika’s hips, urging him on instinctively.
“God, Kurapika…” Leorio gasps, his head tipping back against the couch as the blond continues his tormentingly slow rhythm. “What kinda reward is this?”
“The kind where I take what’s mine,” Kurapika declares softly, leaning down to nip at Leorio’s earlobe, sending shivers through the taller man’s body.

Summary
“Leorio,” a voice behind him at the entrance of the playground startled Leorio out of his thoughts. He turned, and his heart lurched. Kurapika looked mostly how Leorio remembered: worn black jeans, band t-shirt, his father’s old blue and red windbreaker, one red earring dangling from his ear. His hair was a bit longer– long enough that Kurapika had pulled half of it up into a ponytail. He obviously looked a bit older, but in a way that suited him. He was hotter than Leorio remembered, and that was saying something as Leorio had been hopelessly infatuated with his best friend for as long as he could remember.
“Hey,” Leorio said, voice cracking just a bit. Even under the weak flickering streetlights Leorio could see Kurapika quirk an eyebrow at him. “It’s— uh— it’s been a while.”
“Don’t be weird,” Kurapika muttered.

Two times Leorio and Kurapika hung out in an empty playground at 2 a.m. Once right before Leorio left for college, and again when Leorio came back home between undergrad and starting med school. -

Shiryu has always been the most observant and the most perceptive of them. Paradoxically, becoming blind hasn’t quite hindered that. Of course he isn’t able to literally look at things anymore, but he pays attention to his surroundings and the people around him. And if he could tell that Shun was in a good mood and that he’d missed Hyoga without ever hearing about it or catching the aching look that he couldn’t always conceal, it must mean that he simply felt it.
The blush comes creeping back on his face. That’s embarrassing. Did everyone know? And there Shun thought he’d been subtle about it! What if that’s why everyone went to bed early yesterday, just to leave them alone? Does Seiya know too? Does Ikki ? The last thought runs around Shun’s head for a minute. It’s really going to be weird to pretend that nothing is happening if everyone just knows that he spent the last eight months missing Hyoga like hell.
OR
After kissing Hyoga for the first time, Shun wakes up full of thoughts and anticipation...

“Can I ask you a question?” Shun says, and he’s so relieved that his voice isn’t trembling right now.
“Sure.”
“What was it that you said earlier?”
“When?”
“In the dining room. When you hugged me.”
“Ah, that…”
“Yeah.”
The pale blushing is back on Hyoga’s face. He hesitates and Shun waits patiently until he speaks, repeating the words.
“ Ya shertovski skuchal po tebe. ”
Ah. Well that explains why Shun didn’t understand.
“Is that Russian?”
“Yeah.”
“What does it mean?”
Hyoga blushes a little more, and looks down as he says:
“ I missed you so fucking much .”OR
Shun has been in love with Hyoga for as long as he can remember. He's taught himself to not think about it, to live with his feelings and pretend that they don't exist.

Seven years ago, Hyoga was seven and Shun was six. They lived with ninety eight other children in one mansion, and the experience forever remained a shadow in Hyoga's life so far.
He played with Shun a lot. They never met again after they were sent off to their saintly duties.
That is, until all the bronze saints assemble for the Galaxian Wars, an annual fighting event where saints duel against one another. Hyoga has no interest in it at all, or at least that’s how he thought.

They take two, three more steps until Hyoga becomes aware of the tension now hanging in the air between them. If only it were Seiya, Shiryu, or even Ikki walking beside him like this instead. At least then, he could ignore things until the situation demanded otherwise. He could care less.
