He lifted his head when he saw Steve, and sniffed the air before he came up to Steve and began to twine affectionately around his ankles, purring and meowing all at once, interspersed with with hopeful chirrups. Steve supposed Sam wouldn't miss a little of the chicken. He sat down on the stoop and Neighbor Cat rubbed his head hopefully against Steve's knee.
When he opened up the foil package, Neighbor Cat darted close, and in defiance of his usual perfect manners, snatched up the chicken and bolted for the fence, scaling it in two bounds, and disappeared into the gully like a shot.
"What the hell?" said Steve, staring after him.

Boyd continues eating his gyro, which he has laid out on a plate like a salad on a piece of flatbread, methodically picking out the tomatoes, feta and lamb and laying them to the side to eat after the lettuce. Boyd would eat his gyro if there was a bomb going off.

Harry Potter was not having a good day. Struck by lightning, chased by 'giants', becoming trapped in Devil's Snare and nearly ending up an Acromantula's pre-dinner appetiser, are all very bad things. And he is now living in the Slytherin dorms. It says something about his life that he isn't really all that surprised by the events of the last twenty-four hours. It's a wonder he hasn't gone barmy before now. It really is.
It also should be taken under advisement, that Draco Malfoy should NOT be allowed to name things. EVER.
And what is up with Nearly Headless Nick and the other ghosts? Why is someone going around polyjuiced as Harry? Why do they smell like radishes? And do they HAVE to suck on so many sugar quills?
