Summary
There are multiple sides to every story.
Albus Potter knows this all too well. It seems as if the wizarding world only sees him as the disappointing Slytherin son of Harry Potter--everyone except his best friend, Scorpius Malfoy. With the whole world against him, Albus is determined to change his reputation. Set on breaking out of their fathers' shadows, Albus and Scorpius seek out a great adventure, something on the scale of Harry Potter's. But they don't realise the mess they're about to entangle themselves in--one that expands much further than Hogwarts.
With tensions and emotions rising, Albus is about to learn that the life of a hero is far more complicated than it seems.
---
An alternative 8th Harry Potter story for those who weren't fond of the Cursed Child plot or just want an exciting new story. Featuring a totally reimagined concept, no children of Voldemort, a lot more angst, and, of course, no queerbaiting!

Mirabel Madrigal has never known life beyond the small village where she and Papá reside: days spent at the academy, afternoons working in her Pá's magic shop, and evenings by the fireplace, embroidering away as Pá takes a rare break to enjoy the little television she'd purchased with her pocket-money for his 50th birthday. One day, a few months into her being 15, her life changes drastically, and she and Pá journey to meet (and live with) the family Mirabel never knew existed.

The only way they could pay off the debt was to offer their only son as collateral, to act as a shield to the current Yoo family head to ward off suitors. With the understanding that the sole child could not have his dearest wish of a warm and happy future, he could only strive to have others take that place instead.
But in the end, happy endings do exist.

Summary
Leia Skywalker's mother died when she was a baby, killed by rebels. Ever since, that pain has fueled her Sith training under the supervision of her father, Darth Vader himself.
Luke Naberrie's father never wanted anything to do with him. The fact didn't bother him. Between his mother and uncle-slash-Jedi-Master Ben, and his friends in the rebellion, he had all the family he'd ever need.
Growing up on opposite sides of a war, the two could easily go their whole lives without meeting. But, when they shoot each other out of the sky over Tatooine, it becomes clear that the Force has other plans.(Or: Luke's a rebel Jedi raised by Padmé, Leia's an Imperial Sith raised by Vader. They accidentally crash land on Tatooine together and go on an adventure.)
