One of the packs was open. Someone had gotten in, probably replaced the Prima cigarettes with something cheaper and weaker. He should smoke those first and save the name-brand for later. Opening the lid, he was expecting to see whatever mishmash of counterfeits had been stuffed inside.
Valery frowned. The pack was almost full, the cigarettes an even layer of uniformity. Either a consistent conman or they were the real deal. But there was one missing. In its place was a small rolled up piece of paper.

It is undeniable that Hari Seldon and Gaal Dornick are more alike than either would like to admit. The two of them are singular in the entire Galaxy, connected like twin primes, and now Hari has mysteriously regained a body, too?
This piece starts right after Gaal and Salvor rescue Hari and exists in that space of missing scenes and hidden moments that we don't necessarily get to observe but all wonder about.

Gaal didn’t remember the act of actually getting aboard the ship after the last-minute rescue. She hadn’t even been thinking coherently beyond Hari being heavy, warm, and very much alive. She could still feel the drumming of her heart in her ears.

Indeed, like the Moon and the ocean, he and Mori were entirely different by nature. One belonged in the night sky, ethereal and distant, overlooking everything from above while equally subjecting it to his gravitational pull. The other, sullen and relentless, ruled on Earth, demanding complete humility from those that wished to enter his waters.
More than one light-second apart, separated by the surface of their respective weapons, they were seemingly doomed to lead different lives. Yet since the day Fukuzawa picked up his sword to protect Mori on behalf of their shared mentor, their pain and longing became one. And on those rare nights when the Moon was closest to Earth, bringing on the high tide, so did their pleasure.

There are consequences to using untested drugs to save your father's life, and Spock is about to meet them full throttle. Jim can only try and keep his too-honest Vulcan from insulting crew, ambassadors, admirals, and parents.

Prompt from spookybfi: Ok, so Kirk basically spent, like, the entire series wooing Spock, to no avail because Spock broke his heart and left for Gol. Now that Spock is back, Kirk has given up on him because he doesn't know where he stands any more, and he doesn't want to get hurt again. That's ok though, because after his ZOMGFEELINGSAREOK revelation in sickbay, Spock is more than willing to woo Kirk this time :D The wooing could happen on Valentine's day because... it's Valentine's day!
